Auto-Upload

Our Android app's auto-upload feature simplifies uploading your photos and videos to your cloud seamlessly. To enable this: 1. Navigate to your app settings. 2. Under the Auto Upload section, you can toggle options for camera photos, camera videos, and other images/videos. 3. You also have the choice to select the encrypt option to send them directly to your encrypted section. If you opt to upload only camera photos and camera videos, it will exclusively auto-upload from your default camera roll (DCIM). For auto-uploading from third-party apps like WhatsApp, select 'other images & videos'.

Upload

To upload via the Android app: 1. Press the + button. 2. Choose from options: - "Take a photo": Capture a photo for automatic upload to your cloud. - "Upload folder": Select a folder from your device for upload. - "Upload files": Choose from recent files to upload. 3. If selecting "Upload files", navigate to the menu in the top left to choose the source and specific files for upload.

Upload folders from internal or SD card in Android

Our Android application allows you to upload entire folders from both the internal memory and the SD card. To select the storage location, navigate to the folder picker menu and choose the "/storage list" option. Here, you'll find: - "/0": Represents the device's internal memory. - "/extSdCard": Represents the SD card memory. Select the appropriate storage location based on your preference and proceed with uploading your folders.

Downloading

To download files from the Icedrive Android app to your device, follow these steps: 1. Select File for Download: Tap on the options icon next to the file you wish to download. This icon is usually represented by three dots. 2. Initiate Download: From the options menu, select "Download" to begin the download process. The file will be saved to your device's default download directory. 3. Customize Download Directory (Optional): If you want to change the download directory, access the menu by tapping on the icon in the top-left corner. Then, navigate to "Settings". Scroll down to find the "Downloads" section. 4. Choose Storage Location: Within the "Downloads" section, select your preferred storage location. You can choose from options such as SD card (if available), Internal Storage, or "Other". If you select "Other", you'll be presented with a list of possible storage directories to choose from. These steps ensure a seamless process for downloading files from the Icedrive Android app to your device, with the flexibility to customize your download directory as needed.

Arrange File Order

To change the order of your files in the Icedrive Android app, follow these steps: 1. Access Secondary Menu: Tap on the secondary menu options button located in the top-right corner of the screen. This button is typically represented by three dots. 2. Select "Order by": From the options menu, select "Order by". This action will prompt a list of sorting options to appear. 3. Choose Sorting Criteria: Within the "Order by" menu, you'll be presented with several sorting criteria options. Select your preferred criteria from the list. You can choose to arrange your files by name, file size, date, or file type. 4. Specify Sorting Order: After selecting your sorting criteria, specify whether you want the files to be arranged in ascending or descending order. These steps enable you to customize the order in which your files are displayed in the Icedrive Android app, allowing for efficient organization based on your preferences.

Share links (Android)

To create a share link and share a file via the Icedrive Android app, follow these steps: 1. Locate the file or folder you wish to share within the app. 2. Press the options button (usually denoted by three dots) next to the file/folder. 3. Select "Share" from the menu options. 4. Choose between "Editor" to grant collaboration access to other Icedrive users or "Public Link" to create a public link for sharing the file.

File searches

To search for a specific file in your cloud storage, follow these steps: 1. Tap on the menu icon located in the top right corner of the app (represented by three dots). 2. Select "Search" from the menu options. 3. Type the desired keyword into the search bar. 4. The app will display all files and folders matching the keyword in the search results. Additionally, you can select all files by tapping on the menu icon in the top right corner and choosing the appropriate option.

Diagnostic log

If you encounter any issues while using the app, you can quickly submit a diagnostic log to our technical team for assistance. Follow these steps: 1. Open the menu by tapping on the icon located in the top left corner of the app. 2. Select "Help" from the menu options. 3. Choose "Submit diagnostic data" from the help menu. Submitting a diagnostic log will automatically generate a support ticket with the log attached. Our technical team will promptly review the log and reach out to assist you with resolving any issues you may be experiencing.
